Luminara was a lot of fun to make. I recreated the Ellipsis engine for this occasion, and the particle system is very robust for the slow nature of Flash 8. The game has a feature called "Lasering", in which several lines shoot out from the player to the enemy... that effect was my favorite part of the whole game! It draws laser beams and shakes the screen on demand. There are several effects in this game that were new, you should definitely play and check it out.
